- DPM at N.Y. College of Podiatric Medicine
Dr. Doolan attended undergraduate school at Binghamton University in New York, where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology. He went on to graduate with a DPM from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by 5 years of residency training, finishing at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Dr. Doolan is extensively trained in reconstructive foot surgery, including arthroscopic, endoscopic, and external fixation techniques.
Dr. Doolan is currently on staff at Beth Israel Medical Center, Holy Name Hospital and Gramercy Surgery Center where he is the Podiatric Medical Director and on site Residency Director.
Dr. Doolan is the founder of the Brachymetatarsal Correction Center of New York. Dr. Doolan is considered one of the foremost experts on Brachymetatarsal Surgery in the country. He regularly performs this surgery using both internal and external fixation methods.
Dr. Doolan is board certified in foot surgery, by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS). Dr. Doolan is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association. In addition, he sits on the Medical Advisory Board of Gramercy Surgical Center.
Dr. Doolan actively supports charity work through regular participation in medical missions. Since 2002, he has performed hundreds of surgeries and medical consultations for the impoverished people of the Philippines. Below are some pictures from the most recent medical mission.

Paul Betschart, DPM received his undergraduate training at the State University of New York at Albany. He went on to obtain a Masters degree from Barry University. He completed his medical studies at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he was included in the Phi Delta honor society. Post graduate training at the residency and fellowship level were completed at Cabrini Medical Center in Manhattan.
Dr. Betschart received extensive training in reconstructive foot surgery and diabetic limb salvage. He continues to update his knowledge through continuing medical education.
Dr. Betschart is Board Certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Betschart?s Philosophy is to approach most problems from a non-surgical standpoint before proceeding to invasive techniques. Restoration of optimal function is the ultimate goal of every treatment plan.
Joseph Larsen, D.P.M., D.A.B.P.S attended undergraduate school at Hofstra University in New York. He received a Science Bachelor Degree in Biology. He then went on to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by a two year residency in foot surgery. Dr. Larsen received a DPM degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and finished his two year residency at the VA Medical Center in Northport, New York where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Larsen is extensively trained in all aspects of foot surgery, including Endoscopic and Arthroscopic procedures, Diabetic reconstructive foot surgery and is certified in Extracorpal Shockwave Therapy. He also has had extensive training with diabetic ulcers, wound healing and limb salvage procedures.
Dr. Larsen is a board certified Foot Surgeon by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is an active member and Diplomat of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Larsen is on staff at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Northshore University Hospital, St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn and Gramercy Park Surgical Center.
Dr. Adam Cirlincione completed his undergraduate studies at Binghamton University in New York. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at The New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he was one of the top students in his class earning high honors. Dr. Cirlincione then completed one year of Primary Podiatric residency training at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens and then on to the highly regarded Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh for three years of intensive surgical training in all aspects of foot, ankle, and lower leg surgery. While at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital he was chief resident and was a student of some of the most highly regarded foot and ankle surgeons in the country. To complete his training Dr. Cirlincione spent time with multiple orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons in Europe prior to going into private practice.
Dr. Cirlincione is currently Board Certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He routinely lectures to residents and fellow podiatrists and is the author of numerous published articles. His interests include reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and trauma of the foot and ankle. Dr. Cirlincione now practices in Glen Cove & Bay Ridge, NY and most recently Teaneck, New Jersey.
Dr. Shah attended undergraduate school at Syracuse University in New York. She went on to graduate with a DPM from The Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, followed by residency training at Cabrini Medical Center in NYC, where she was Chief Resident.
Dr. Shah is extensively trained in all aspects of foot surgery and wound care.
Dr. Shah is currently on staff at Cabrini Medical Center, Gramercy Surgical Center, and Surgicare Ambulatory Surgery Center of New York.
Dr. Shah is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, The American Podiatric Medical Association, and The New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Sharon R. Barlizo is a board certified podiatric physician, certified also in Pedorthics, Hyperbaric Medicine, Neurosensory Nerve/Muscle Testing and Ossatron. She is a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Exercise Science and a specialization in Athletic Therapy from Concordia University. She received her Primary Podiatric Medicine Residency training at New York Methodist Hospital and completed her Podiatric Surgical training at Cabrini Medical Center. Dr Barlizo is affiliated with Gramercy Surgery Center, Metropolitan and Lincoln Hospital. She is the Director of Wound Care at the Foot Clinics of New York and serves as medical advisor to Aetrex Worldwide/foot.com. Currently she is an assistant professor with full-time faculty status at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and adjunct faculty at University of Quebec in Trois-Rivieres, where she teaches Wound Care, Dermatology and Rheumatology. Her research interests are in Wound Care and Diabetes. Dr. Barlizo is a member of FAMI, the Filipino American Medical Incorporated group which is comprised of doctors, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and other volunteers involved in providing free medical and surgical care, traveling to the Philippines serving the underprivileged and indigent population.
Dr. Aminian graduated from George Washington University in Washington D.C with degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology. Subsequently, She attended to New York College of Podiatric Medicine, graduate with degree of DPM. Her post-graduate training includes a three years residency of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and a one-year of Wound Care Fellowship at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center at Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Aminian is extensively trained in all aspects of foot surgery and wound care. She is a member of American podiatric Medical Associations, the New York State Podiatric Medical Associations.
Dr Splichal attended undergraduate school at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN and graduate school at A.T. Still University earning a Master’s in Human Movement. She went on to graduate with a DPM from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Her post-graduate training included podiatric medicine and surgical training at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan as well as Mt Vernon Hospital and Sound Shore Medical Center in Westchester County, NY.
Dr Splichal is extensively trained in lower extremity biomechanics, sports medicine and movement dysfunction. With over 11 years in the fitness industry, Dr Splichal has dedicated her medical career towards studying postural alignment and human movement as it relates to foot posture and foot strength.
Dr Splichal is an active member of the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Medicine, American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine – and is the Founder of the Evidence Based Fitness Academy.
Dr Splichal is an expert lecturer and TV personality with appearances on Oprah Winfrey, The Today Show, The Doctors, Dr Steve Show & Good Day NY. Dr Splichal is sought after for her expertise in barefoot training, foot health and postural alignment.
Dr Splichal is actively involved in Human Movement and Podiatric Sports Medicine research. Dr Splichal's research has been published in Lower Extremity Review, as well as presented at the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Medicine and on behalf of the Evidence Based Fitness Academy.
Dr. Fuchs, received her bachelor's degree at The University of Pittsburgh in 2005. After attending Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, she completed her three-year residency in foot and ankle surgery at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System.
Dr. Fuchs has extensive training in sports injuries, rearfoot and forefoot reconstructive surgery, foot deformities, cosmetic foot issues, and diabetic wound care. She is currently a board qualified podiatric surgical attending at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY.
Dr. Fuchs provides comprehensive foot and ankle care by working with each patient to meet the individual’s distinctive health goals. She believes that patient education and involvement is essential to providing exceptional podiatric medical and surgical care.
Dr. DellaCorte DPM
Dr. DellaCorte received his undergraduate degree from Queens College in New York, where he received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Biology. He then attended The New York College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating in the top of his class, Cum Laude. He did 2 years of training at Baptist Medical Center in Brooklyn in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. DellaCorte is extensively trained in all aspects of foot surgery with a focus on Diabetic Wound Management, Charcot Reconstruction and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Dr. DellaCorte is currently on staff at Forest Hills Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, North Shore and NUMC. He is the Residency Program Director for the Forest Hills Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program. He was the Chairman of Podiatry at St. John’s Queens Hospital and Mary Immaculate Hospital , and the Medical Director of the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center, until they closed in 2009.
Dr. DellaCorte is presently President of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and has served on numerous committees for the board.
Dr. DellaCorte is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery , by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS), and board Certified in Podiatric Medicine by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). Dr. DellaCorte is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine (ACFAOM). He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is a certified hyperbaric technologist (CHT).
Dr. DellaCorte has been in private practice in Maspeth for 32 years , he is married and has 4 daughters and 2 grandchildren.
