Doolan

John Doolan, D.P.M

Dr. Doolan attended undergraduate school at Binghamton University in New York, where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology. He went on to graduate with a DPM from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by 5 years of residency training, finishing at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn.

Dr. Doolan is extensively trained in reconstructive foot surgery, including arthroscopic, endoscopic, and external fixation techniques.

Dr. Doolan is the founder of the Weill Cornell Medicine – Vascular & Endovascular Surgery, Section of Podiatry of New York. Dr. Doolan is considered one of the foremost experts on Brachymetatarsal Surgery in the country.  He regularly performs this surgery using both internal and external fixation methods.

Dr. Doolan is board certified in foot surgery, by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS). Dr. Doolan is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association. In addition, he sits on the Medical Advisory Board of Gramercy Surgical Center.

Dr. Doolan actively supports charity work through regular participation in medical missions. Since 2002, he has performed hundreds of surgeries and medical consultations for the impoverished people of the Philippines. Below are some pictures from the most recent medical mission.

Deena Blair Horn, D.P.M.

Dr. Horn is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in Foot Surgery and Rearfoot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery. She specializes in reconstruction, revision foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopy of the foot and ankle, foot and ankle surgery, deformity correction, and limb salvage.  Dr. Horn received her podiatric medical degree at Scholl College of Podiatric Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, IL where she graduated top of her class. She then was selected to one of the most reputable and prestigious residency programs in the field of podiatric medicine and surgery. She completed a three-year residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Virginia with an emphasis on reconstruction of complex deformities and traumatology of the foot and ankle. She also completed a rotation at Georgetown in a lower extremity plastic surgery and diabetic limb salvage. She completed her undergraduate education at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Horn's goal is to provide the highest level of foot and ankle care with unsurpassed dedication to each patient. With a conservative approach centered on patient education and understanding she treats each patient with compassion and respect.

Dr. Salerno is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery/American Board of Podiatric Surgery in Foot Surgery and Rear foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery. He received his podiatric medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, NY.After graduation he attended one of the most prestigious limb preservation and reconstructive programs in the country based out of Washington, DC. At Medstar Washington/Georgetown evidence based medicine and a multidisciplinary approach is utilized in limb salvage, wound care and Charcot reconstruction. In addition to the fundamentals of podiatric surgery, which was highly comprehensive in both the academics and clinical setting. Dr. Salerno’s goal is to provide a high level of foot and ankle care with a dedication to each of  his patients.



Joseph Larsen, D.P.M.

Joseph Larsen, D.P.M., D.A.B.P.S attended undergraduate school at Hofstra University in New York. He received a Science Bachelor Degree in Biology. He then went on to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by a two year residency in foot surgery. Dr. Larsen received a DPM degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and finished his two year residency at the VA Medical Center in Northport, New York where he was Chief Resident.

Dr. Larsen is extensively trained in all aspects of foot surgery, including Endoscopic and Arthroscopic procedures, Diabetic reconstructive foot surgery and is certified in Extracorpal Shockwave Therapy. He also has had extensive training with diabetic ulcers, wound healing and    limb salvage procedures.

Dr. Larsen is a board certified Foot Surgeon by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is an active member and Diplomat of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Larsen is on staff at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Northshore University Hospital, St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn and Gramercy Park Surgical Center.

 Elvis Danne Jr., D.P.M.

Dr. Danne is a Graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte prior to completing his podiatric medical education at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine where he served as a National Delegate for our Student National Podiatric Medical Association as well as a high level of involvement with other medical and surgical organizations. He completed his Residency with Northwell Health at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital covering Level 1 trauma centers across multiple counties where he served as Chief Resident as well as winning Outstanding resident of the year during my tenure. Fellowship in Foot & Ankle Deformity Correction at the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute in West Palm Beach, FL under the tutelage of Dr. Bradley Lamm at one of the most exclusive and long-standing foot & ankle fellowships in the country. 

Speaker at multiple national events on Achilles tendon injuries, Ankle instability, minimally invasive bunion surgery, and deformity correction, as well as publishing peer reviewed articles on limb lengthening and minimally invasive surgery. Associate of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, Board Qualified American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons in Foot Surgery and Rearfoot Reconstructive and Ankle Surgery.  Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine, Board certified American Board of Podiatric Medicine.  Member of American Association of Podiatric Sports Medicine.
